Keep Going

So if you’ve been watching my stories, you know I’m currently visiting my family in NC! This weekend, we took a little family trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Yesterday we went on a hike that ended up being a little longer and more strenuous than we anticipated. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m always up for a good hike (Mazi and I looove hiking) but I’m also slightly out of shape, so this one started off a bit rough (for all of us) if we’re being honest.

There came this moment where we started to consider stopping, taking in the view, and just turning around. We didn’t know how much longer it was going to be until we reached the top and the hike was getting harder.

But we didn’t stop. Why? Because we knew that regardless of how much longer or harder it’d be, when we reached the top, it would be worth it and we wouldn’t regret this experience. But deep down, we would regret it if we turned back. So we kept going...and I’m so glad we did.

We all experience hard things, we all have those uncomfortable moments when we want to stop and turn around. We want to give up. But I want to encourage you to keep going. Keep pushing yourself, because in the end, we only regret the things we didn’t do, the experiences we didn’t have, and the memories we didn’t make.

So friend, here’s your reminder that you CAN do hard things, and some encouragement to keep going.
